Some of the actions underway
This year, we're making it a top priority to calculate the greenhouse gas emissions generated by HMS. Understanding our starting point is crucial to see where potential reduction can be achieved with a long term vision
Some projects have been started at Mid Herts Centre for Music & Arts (Mid Herts):
- enhance nature. We've built our fist Bug Hotel and introduced a dedicated wildlife area
- installed recycling bins onsite
- our Instrument Manager is working with partner organisations to recycle instruments that can't be repaired to reduce landfill waste
- exploring better energy efficiencies in electricity usage
How can you help?
- help us to ensure waste is disposed of responsibly by putting any waste into the correct recycling bins provided to ensure bins are not contaminated
- help us to keep our grounds litter free so we can all enjoy the area
- please don't keep your car engines running whilst parked so we all have fresh air to breath
